Clinical research is a branch of the health sciences that determines the safety and effectiveness of medicines, devices, diagnostic products, and treatment regimens intended for human use. (Medicines, vaccines, devices among others)

Clinical research helps find new and better ways to detect, diagnose, treat, and prevent a disease. Types of clinical research are clinical trials, which test new treatments for a disease, and natural history evolution studies to gather health information to understand how disease develops and progresses over time.
